i. Prelude

Art is one of the few fields defined by constant quest for perfection. Any such quest is by necessity an intertwined thread of joy and despair, and seeing it being spun is easily one of the most inspiring things one can experience. Laine Experiments, an independent art studio, exists to celebrate this quest.

ii. Fugue

Laine Experiments is an independent art studio engaged in several projects of varied nature. Currently our main interests lie within visual arts, publishing and fashion—we, however, follow inspiration and hope to come across something unexpected that makes us adjust our plans to accommodate whatever sparks our interest.

Laine Experiments began its journey in 2022 as a Swiss non-profit association that was devoted to the promotion of the arts of bookbinding and handwriting. Soon after the association was established we came up with new ideas that would not fit into its scope and we decided to found an art studio instead. For the sake of operational efficiency we also decided to change our legal form to that of a limited company and move our headquarters to Finland. Regardless, we continue to uphold the charitable nature of our predecessor.
